For as long as I can remember, I have always loved making people feel good. This extended to arranging and decorating my friends events, mainly birthdays and their kiddies parties. I also enjoyed planning and organising my kiddies parties too! And everytime people complemented and asked me to do their own. In 2010, I formalized the passion into business as demand increased.
At Lily Lulo Parties, we organise, plan and decorate events. We specialise in intimate events like Baby Showers, Kiddies Parties, Bridal Showers and any other significant milestone! We believe that everyone has a story and we try to bring that story into life when planning and decorating events.
Bongiwe Qambela commonly known as Bongi or Bee is the only daughter of Mr Mpinda and Mrs Nokuphumla Qambela. Bongie was born in a small town of Cacadu in the Eastern Cape. She grew up there in the dusty village of Bangindlala. She is a biological mother to three boys; Khunga Onwaba, Nqoba Simo and Hluma Khalipha Mnqokoyi. She is also a matriarch to many other children. Her most prized title is that of being a mother.
Secondary to that, Bongie believes in the power of education. She has studied in various institutions of higher education which include Walter Sisulu University, Cape Peninsula University of Technology, University of Stellenbosch Business School and the University of South Africa Alumni.
She is working full time and is involved in various other businesses on the side, under the umbrella; BP Mnqokoyi CC, where she is the sole owner. Bongie truly believes in the power of black excellence!
